Our founder Kristi Patrickus, J.D. served as the only Student Advocacy Program Attorney on staff at any university in the country. 

For years, she was, quite literally, the only person doing this type of attorney advocacy work. Kristi experienced, observed, and participated in the world of student conduct and Title IX from the perspective of both the student and the university, giving her unparalleled insight. Now, she serves as the Title IX Coordinator for a student population of almost 88,000.

Outside of her work, Kristi is an active member of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), where she currently serves as the co-chair for the Public Policy and Legislative Issues Committee, as well as the Conduct Professionals with JDs Community of Practice. Kristi currently leads ASCA’s Title IX response as Chair of the Title IX Task Force and Title IX Working Group. Beginning in February 2025, Kristi will begin her term as a Director at Large on ASCA’s Board of Directors. She frequently presents at national conferences and for state bar associations.
